The goal of the fellowship is to expand the fellowship throughout the United States (and eventually abroad), one fellowship in multiple locations, building ministries in communities and produce leaders that will take the responsibility of maximizing kingdom growth; and many foundations that will further the work and growth of the kingdom.

Bishop John D. Young Sr. accepted the lord as his personal savior in 1966. His Church work began as a Deacon, Director of the Choir and Minister of Music. In 1969, he was called into the Ministry and ordained as an Elder. In the mid-70s, Elder Young organized a mission and evangelistic work in Barth, Florida; a rural community approximately 30 miles North of Pensacola. The mission began to flourish so a building was purchased in the area. It was later established as The United Church of God in Christ under the pastoral leadership of Elder Young.
As the Lord elevated Elder Young, the membership also increased under his leadership. This increase required the need for a larger edifice in which a building was located in Pensacola. The Church purchased the building and the church was renamed Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ. Eventually, Pastor Young was appointed District Superintendent of Pensacola District #3. Pastor Young’s evangelistic ministry also continued to expand throughout the years.
